Casa Canadiense
Casa Canadiense (“Canada House”) is a community-based popular education centre located in a working-class neighbourhood of Managua, Nicaragua. It was founded in 1992 by a group of Canadian activists, and it continues to be sustained by a volunteer group of activists centered in Toronto.
Casa Canadiense receives no government funding; we are dependent on the donations from our supporters, and from our fundraising projects here in Canada.
Groovy Mondays
Groovy Mondays is an open stage and concert series that started in August 2001. Since then, hundreds of musicians from around the world have performed on our stage. In 2003, Groovy Mondays released the first compilation CD called "Groovy Mondays Live at Holy Joe's" available for purchase at MapleMusic. The CD artwork, music and production was donated and all money raised from CD sales go to ArtsCan Circle.
In October 2005, Groovy Mondays changed venues, from Holy Joe's to the NOW Lounge and introduced a new workshop series to complement the open stage series. In partnership with Long & McQuade Musical Instruments, a limited backline of a full-size Roland keyboard, with weighted keys and an Epiphone acoustic, plug-in guitar is now provided.

Toronto Blues Society
The Toronto Blues Society was formed in 1985, by Derek Andrews, David Barnard and John Valenteyn. The objective of the Toronto Blues Society is to ensure that blues music, an indigenous North American art form, is guaranteed a continued presence in Toronto. They work to create a climate in which the opportunities for live performances, radio airplay and national touring, that can make a career in music viable, are being made available to blues musicians.
